About the program
The Ee Peng Liang Memorial Fund was set up under the auspices of Social Work Department, National University of Singapore,to further the legacy of the late Dr Ee’s philanthropy and social development in the region. To further promote the legacy, the Regional Social Service Leaders Exchange Programme is launched to contribute to professional development of promising social service leaders in the region and to nurture a regional network of social service leaders who can drive social service development both locally and cross-nationally. The two-week programme will be held in Singapore from 21 Feb to 06 Mar 2016 (TBC).
During the two weeks, participants will learn about programme development, visits agencies, have dialogues with policymakers and contribute in a public seminar where they will deliver presentations on the challenges facing the social service sectors in their home countries and their ideas for innovative change. Return airfare, accommodation and programme costs will be fully funded for all participants.
Ideal candidates should be
(1) excellent in English
(2) practising social workers or those currently working in the social service sector in their home countries
(3) at least 3 years of work experience
